Sicilian MaudMATTHEWSSicilian passed away peacefully, the day before her 85th birthday, on 24th March, at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant. Sis spent a brief time at the lovely Duffryn Frwyd Manor Nursing Home in Nantgarw, but lived in Lisvane for 60 years. Sis was the beloved widow of David (Dai the Black) Matthews, the Lisvane Village Blacksmith. Sis was the loving mother of Lyn and husband José and daughter Christine and husband Michael, beloved grandma of David, Leann and Sarah; great-grandma of Robert, Tegwen and Gareth. Funeral Service to be held at St. Denys Church, Lisvane on Monday 15th April at 11am, followed by Committal Service at Thornhill Crematorium in the Briwnant Chapel at 12noon. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Forget Me Not Chorus, Alzheimer's Choir. RIP.
